Your guide fits your helmet and goggles and runs through the controls - throttle, brake, body position and hand signals used in the dunes.

A short flat loop to get comfortable with the throttle and turning before heading into the dunes. Take as long as you need; nobody sets off until every rider is ready.

Follow your guide through the red dunes, building from gentle rolling sand to steeper climbs as your confidence grows, with photo stops along the way.

Return to base, hand back your gear and cool down with water. Extra riding time can be purchased on the spot if you are not ready to stop.

For most first-time riders, yes - 30 minutes of active riding in the dunes is more physically demanding than it sounds. If you have ridden before, or you are travelling with a group who want a longer session, extra time can be added at the track or booked in advance.

Yes, and it is the most popular slot of the day. Sunset sessions book out fastest, so reserve at least a day ahead. Sunrise slots from 5:00 AM are quieter and just as beautiful.

Our standard ATVs comfortably carry riders up to approximately 120 kg. If you are near or above that, let us know when booking and we will assign a more powerful machine.

No licence and no experience are needed. Every vehicle is automatic, and your session begins with a full safety briefing and controls walkthrough. A professional guide leads the group throughout, setting a pace that matches the least experienced rider.

Helmets, goggles and protective gear are provided free of charge for every rider, and all equipment is checked before each session. Buggies are fitted with roll cages, racing harnesses and safety nets. We recommend closed shoes and long trousers for extra comfort and protection.

Closed-toe shoes are essential - sandals and flip-flops are not permitted for safety reasons. Wear comfortable clothes you do not mind getting dusty, and consider a scarf or buff over your nose and mouth. Sunglasses help enormously with the fine sand and glare.

Pickup and drop-off are not included in the standard price, and most guests drive directly to our desert meeting point. Transfers can be arranged on request for an additional charge - just tell us your hotel or area when booking and we will quote you.

Riders must be 16 or older to drive solo. Younger children are welcome as passengers in a two or four seater vehicle accompanied by an adult. There is no upper age limit as long as you are in reasonable health and comfortable holding the controls.

Yes. GoPros and action cameras can be mounted on the roll cage or handlebars, and phones are best kept in a zipped pocket during the ride. Our guides are happy to stop for photos at the top of the dunes and will gladly take shots of your group.

It happens to everyone at some point and it is part of the fun. Your guide is trained in dune recovery and carries a radio to call support vehicles, so you will be moving again within minutes at no extra cost.

No deposit is collected for normal riding. Guests are, however, expected to follow the guide's instructions - reckless riding away from the group that results in damage may be chargeable, which is why the safety briefing matters.

Yes. Rides operate all year, but between June and September we strongly recommend early morning slots from 5:00 AM or evening slots after 5:00 PM, when the sand and air are dramatically cooler. Water is provided throughout.

Free cancellation up to 24 hours before your scheduled slot. Inside 24 hours the booking is non-refundable, though we will always try to reschedule you to another day if the track allows.
